Description:
- A Hex Nipple is a short pipe piece with male BSP threaded ends on each side of a hex nut.
Uses:
- Commonly used in plumbing and piping for connecting two female BSP fittings together.
Advantages:
- The hex nut offers increased grip for easy installing and dismantling.
How to Install:

Thread one or both of the male BSP threaded ends into a female BSP thread.
Sizing:
- The size is determined by the size of the female BSP thread to be connected.
- An example would be a ½” hex nipple will thread into a ½” female thread.
Also referred to as:
- Hexagon Nipple or Hex Pipe Nipple.
Other Options:
- Other options include Close Nipples which have no hex nut between male threads.
- Another option are Reducing Hex Nipples which have different sized male threads on either end.
